Near the end of world war 2 Italy and Germany had surrendered already. The only power left was japan and didn’t want to surrender in the pacific theatre. The USA was tired of fighting and didn’t want to loose anymore soldiers so they gave japan the Potsdam declaration which held in Potsdam Germany which the USA offered japan to unconditionally surrender on may 1945.
The Manhattan project was the name given to the research program that developed the first atomic bomb. Lead by the world’s top physicists Leo Szilard and Albert Einstein that created a letter that had the atomic bombs origins then was sent to president franklin D Roosevelt in 1939.
