Which material you choose?
About the hat, I do not have much to say. Nice and warm, sporty and easy to put in your pocket. Perhaps clever to invent any materials you have on your head to many. Do it quickly warm? Can you stand the tickling of wool? If you answer 'yes and no', then look for a cap of synthetic material. Or maybe a combination of the two materials a solution for you. Take a look at the label in the hat to see what you are buying.
You hats
The woolen ballonpet is good and hot, can fine against rain and wind are not so easily off. You also have them with ear flaps. Lovely if you're easily bothered by cold ears. Especially if it rains or snows, you can hide in there at all.

Headgear of wool or leather
All hats and caps made of wool woven fabrics can be cleaned by washing them in cold soapy water. Beware: it is quite possible that this shrinkage can occur.
Leather is to some extent hydrophobic. In many or persistent rain can do, especially at the seams, water pass through. To avoid this you can use a Impregnation. Here, too, allow to dry slowly. Never place it on the heating and try not to blow shorten the drying time
How do you keep the hat on clean?
You see after a while that the substances sweatband dirty. Put a few drops of white spirit on a cotton cloth wipe clean. Stitched leather hat you fresh again with a dry sponge. Put your hat never extended time in the sun or on the shelf in the car. That could cause the hat shrink or fade the color.
