In chapters 1 and 2 we meet a boy named Brian and his parents are divorced. Brian boards a plane excited to fly it because it’s a single engine plane. When Brian starts to fly he has thoughts about his parents being divorced and all the fights they had. The pilot of the plane gave Brian a chance to fly the plane, so Brian said yes. When Brian got to the Hampton the mother gave Brian a Hatchet so he can use in the woods After Brian fly’s the plane he sits back down in his seat and the pilot has a pain in his arm. After a few minutes the pilot had a heart attack on the plane and Brian didn’t know what to do. The plane started to go straight down to the trees. Then Brian realized he had to take control of the plane. The engine of the plane died …show more content…
All he sees is trees below him. Then he finds a lake and doesn’t think he has enough power to reach the lake. What do you know, Brian lands on the lake and falls in. The water is rushing into the plane while Brian is freaking out. He succeeds in unbuckling his seatbelt and swims to the surface of the lake and gets to shore and passes out. When Brian is passed out on land he goes into a dream state. In his dream he saw in mom in the car with a man kissing him. Brian woke up from the dream and yelled. When he wakes up he see’s a lot of bug bites on his leg from al the bugs in the air. Brian was so lucky he had survived the plan crash into the lake. In the end he started to talk about the different features in the forest. He found a tress sat down and went back to …show more content…
He walks and finds some birch bark to help the sparks go to a big fire. The fire still dies after so many attempts to make it bigger. The fire is frustrating Brian. Brian think back to his science class and remembers that fire always needs oxygen to grown. He starts to give it some air by blowing on it and then the fire starts to grow bigger and bigger. He starts to feed the fire with kindle witch helps it stay big and says that the fire is his friend. While watching the fire Brian wonders about his parents and what they are up Ito right now. Brian knows he will have to keep the fire going so during the afternoon he goes and collects sticks. At night he gets waken up by a noise but nothings there. That morning he sees a trail going to and from the lake. It was a turtle nesting so it can lay its eggs. Brian needed something else to eat so he took the eggs back to his shelter. When he got to shelter he cracked one opened and ate it. He wanted to throw it back up. Again he imagined someone saving
