He grows into a mature young man during the few days in Narnia. Aslan lets him be the knights and crowns him the High King of Narnia in the end. He becomes the King Peter the Magnificent at his reign.
3.1.2.4 Susan Pevensie
Susan is the second oldest child and the most beautiful girl of the Pevensie children. She also is the most faithful child in the stories. She has a kind and sweet heart and character, a little bit bland maybe. She believes her sister, but always is leaded by her brothers. She gets a horn given by Santa Claus which could be blown and used when they ever find themselves in any dangerous situation. In the later stories, she is brave and becomes queen at Cair Paravel. She is called the Queen Susan the Gentle.
3.1.2.5 Edmund Pevensie Edmund is the third oldest among the children. In the image, Edmund is always a brat with the spiteful, mean character. He teases his younger sister Lucy all the time. The greed for the enchanted Turkish Delight makes him become a traitor against his brothers and sisters. Edmund joins evil in the army of the White Witch after, however, he, eventually, finds out the mistakes in his path and come back to the good

This similarity is of paramount significance that we can not ignore it in any research. Edmund is set free through the sacrifice of Aslan and can survive, in that way, he also find righteousness because of the death of Aslan. In the Bible, the redemption of human being is completed through the sacrifice and death of Jesus in the same way. When a chaos happens in the world of Narnia, people have limited abilities to defend for the life and justice, so the children need seek the help from Aslan. The children is so surprised when they see Aslan alive, actually, Aslan stands in Narnia and is alive at the present and in the future. Aslan does not wipe out all the evils because he gives the free choice to let others make and it does not mean that he does not care about the livings in Narnia because he also feel sad and heartbroken when he sees the broken Narnia. With no intervention, Aslan waits for the changes of living things. In the battle, Aslan finally shows up and triumphs over the White Witch which is beyond the understanding of the White Witch. When the resurrection of Aslan comes, there also comes the justice and peace at last. This resurrection is also a vital symbol of Jesus’ resurrection written in the Bible. Apparently, the story of Aslan’s death and resurrection is a symbol on the biblical record of the death and resurrection.

Based on the what was learned about trust in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, trust is the most basic trait needed in everyday life. Without it, things cannot set into motion. Aslan is portrayed as a great ruler of Narnia, kind and merciful, just as lions were known to be in medieval folklore. He is trusted by the inhabitants of Narnia to lead them out of the Witch’s evil rule. The fact that C.S. Lewis was expressing his opinions and showing the value of trust in the story through the characters is shown in my interpretation of the several events in the…

Lewis designed Aslan, an allegorical representation of Jesus, as one who rules over Narnia, instills fear and respect within all the people. When Mr. Beaver speaks of the great lion, “[the] children felt something jump in [their] inside” (74). When Edmund betrays the people of Narnia, Aslan sacrifices his life to spare him mimicking how Jesus sacrificed himself for the people’s sin. Aslan, mirroring Jesus, is also resurrected. Lewis’ characterization of Aslan is the most obvious evidence of Christian allegory and throughout the novel he subtly relates to other religious…

We can look at the origins of Narnia and the White Witch to draw parallels between Europe’s relationship with its colonies. Additionally, we can explore how domestic conflict can affect and be affected by international conflicts as seen through the characters of Edmund Pevensie, the traitorous sibling who is redeemed, and Aslan, the all-mighty who must sacrifice himself to save Edmund. The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe cannot be completely reconciled to a strictly post-colonial reading, but rather looking at the work with such a lens opens…

Edgar is his beloved legitimate son, and Edmund is his illegitimate child: “But I have a son, sir, by order of the law, some year elder than this, who is yet no dearer in my account. Though this knave came saucily to the world, before he was sent for, yet was his mother fair, there was good sport at his making, and the whoreson must be acknowledged” (I.1.19-24).This predefined outline of the relationship between father and son greatly troubles Edmund. Edmund believes that he should be viewed as an equal, or even superior to Edgar in the eyes of his father. However, due to his status of being born out of wedlock, prevents him from being viewed as an equal. This discrepancy in status inspires Edmund to conspire against his brother: “Let me, if not by birth, have lands by wit with all with me’s meet that I can fashion fit” (I.2.191-192).…

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, is a film adaptation of the beloved book by C.S Lewis. While reading a book, one is forced to make up an entire world in their heads. The way the world is shaped, the way it sounds, the way it moves, the laws it has, the landscape it utilizes, and the society it inhibits is all up to the reader; however, when watching a film these ideas are chosen for us. There is no way around these choices because it is what we are forced to see. The imagined world is shattered and replaced with a world that one might not agree with.…
