The sixth element in the periodic table is one of the most important elements of them all, carbon. This element, located on group fourteen and period two of the periodic table, has an atomic number of 6 and a molar mass of 12.01; this means that it has 6 electrons, 6 protons, and 6 neutrons. For instance, without drinking water humans, and all other living organisms, would not be able to survive and this makes sense because the human body is over 65% water. In addition, water allows people to grow their crops and food in order to consume them later on and gain energy as well as other important nutrients from them. Not only does water help crops, but it also helps other important plants and trees produce oxygen for organisms to breathe. The main steps included are: evaporation, when water rises to get stored in clouds and leaves behind salts, condensation, when gasses turn back to liquids, and precipitation, when water returns to Earth 's surface in the form of rain, snow, or hail.
