Without water, life would not be able to exist. For instance, without drinking water humans, and all other living organisms, would not be able to survive and this makes sense because the human body is over 65% water. In addition, water allows people to grow their crops and food in order to consume them later on and gain energy as well as other important nutrients from them. Not only does water help crops, but it also helps other important plants and trees produce oxygen for organisms to breathe. Also, at times water can help clean things such as clothes and cuts, this is very important because it can help prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses in many ways. Considering how water covers up more than two-thirds of the Earth 's surface it 's no surprise it 's one of the most important substances to all living …show more content…
Water travels through living organisms, like humans, and also non-living things, such as lakes and oceans. Although the water cycle doesn 't have a specific starting point, it does have a series of steps it follows. The steps involve the land, the atmosphere, and bodies of water. The main steps included are: evaporation, when water rises to get stored in clouds and leaves behind salts, condensation, when gasses turn back to liquids, and precipitation, when water returns to Earth 's surface in the form of rain, snow, or hail. After precipitation, the water that does not get absorbed by the soil is called runoff and is transported and collected by rivers, which eventually lead to oceans and seas. Along with the carbon cycle, these are two of the most important cycles Earth
