Many students think that the main reason for the American Civil War was only slavery, and they believe that slavery was abolished one hundred percent by the end of the Civil War. Also, some students do not have a complete idea about the American Civil War; all they know about this war is American people were fighting with each other and American people wanted to divide the country into many sections. According to the Colorado College, (1976) that the American Civil War started an effort to save the North and to end the slavery because many slaves got their own freedom by the end of the American Civil War. Since then, many slaves believed that the only thing that could free them from slavery was fighting along with the North against the South, many slaves fought for their own emancipation, and they ran from the South to the North to fight in the Northern army. This was key for slaves to get their own freedom. As a result, the North started enlisting African Americans to help them to fight against the Confederate States. In addition, the two groups of people who helped to build the Northern armies, were Lincoln 's Second Confiscation and Militia. They both acted in 1862, and they did all they could to build the Northern military. Besides that, they both stimulated black people to join into the Northern armies. The technique that the North used was calling all slaves who were in the South to join to them. On the other hand, Southern people did not have any technique to face the Northern army and to make them lose the war.
