In This Magnificent African Cake the beginning of the film starts early on in the colonization process of Africa and showing how it all began, whereas The African Tools of Exploitation film begins in a modern day city in Africa and describes problems with modern day africa. Following a film should be easy, however the African Tools of Exploitation film is too difficult to follow right from the beginning. In the This Magnificent African Cake film the timeline of events that occur are very chronological and are in order, which allows a high school viewer to understand the film. However in the film The African Tools of Exploitation the order of events are very spread out and do not follow one another. For example the jump between the modern day african scene to the workers in a small village is hard to understand and does not make much sense. Second, the film This Magnificent African Cake does a better job presenting more valuable information and not incorporating unnecessary scenes rather than the African Tools of Exploitation. Lastly, the film The African Tools of Exploitation includes very bias comments by the narrator and in This Magnificent African Cake the author shows no emotion and his delivery is unbiased, which is better for a tenth grade classroom.
