I do realize that Mark has every right to address the topics he addressed, but at the same time, you don’t need to put down another race just to make yourself feel good. I think people still get too caught up in the color of people’s skin that they can’t get past it to the person that is underneath and that’s annoying to me! When I see people, I don’t see color I see potential in whatever they want to bring to the table. That I believe is what he needed to elaborate on in the performance, instead of trying to put down another race, build equity in the performance and prove to people that you are ready to move on from all the normal …show more content…
I think it’s annoying to know that people still harbor resentment for something that happened two-hundred years ago and no matter how many times you try to apologize or make things right, people still come back at you with the same story. In this performance I would’ve really liked to see Mark try to build a bridge between things that happened in the past and successful things that have happened now. I wish he would’ve focused on the positive aspects of good things happening for people these days. I did think that parts of the show was funny and the elastic pace made it exciting and spontaneous, it really put a bad taste in my mouth with everything that happened when the race card was
