Some would also argue that Ila won her way to Saajan's heart through her delicious cooking. With that said, within The Piano Ada finds herself falling in love with Baines after several awkward and even creepy piano lessons with her husbands servant. To add to such strangeness, Ada was even opposed to such lessons as she clearly did not want to share her piano with anybody. Nevertheless, both couples end up becoming attached to one another in some sort of way. Love is one of the things human beings desire the most in life. The desire to be cared about, the desire for intimacy, the desire for sex. In the movie The Lunchbox, we see Saajan Fernandes contently living his very normal life, become attracted to a woman he has never seen, never known and never even heard of. With Mr. Fernandes having been living such a normal life since the death of his past wife, this small shred of hope for love sparked him to put himself out there in the slightest. Hypothetically, with the knowledge we gain of Fernandes' kindness within the movie, him having noticed that he'd been receiving the wrong lunchbox would typically result in him telling someone about the error (even if the cooking was …show more content…
Although the endings of both movies are remarkably different, the same feeling of desiring love is felt throughout both movies. As previously stated, love and partnership is essential to accomplishing the ultimate goal of living a happy life. After having gone through multiple scenes from both The Lunchbox and The Piano we're able to see just how dependant the characters are on desiring love when trying to avoid being sad or when trying to become happy. I'm sure Fernandes and Ila would have found love just like Baines and Ada if only their timing was
