Overall, I feel that Scarlet did a fantastic job continuing the story first presented in Cinder. Though the Earth presented in The Lunar Chronicles is vastly different to the earth in life the world and the characters still feel grounded in their own reality in the way they’re written. I can still understand the character’s motivations, fears and passions with ease and even relate to them in some cases. For example, Cinder is a great example of a strong, yet insecure character. Regardless of all that she has accomplished, she still doubts herself sometimes, and that is a feeling that many people can connect with. The separate plot points were a bit frustrating, of course, as I would already be invested in one of them and then the next chapter
