“ The Lottery” In the short story “ The Lottery by: Shirley Jackson” the characters have different feelings about the lottery. One of the characters Mrs. Hutchinson looks like she doesn’t like the lottery at all, Old man Warner was a man who has been in the lottery for 77 years now, Mr. Summer is a man with the black box wherever he goes he is the head of the lottery. In the story “ The Lottery” all the people in the village have different feelings, opinions, and thoughts about the lottery. More of the other characters who haven’t been picked feel differently because when the other people didn’t have the mark on the tiny piece of paper they were happy, thankful, grateful, and hopeful. They only person that was scared and upset was Mrs. Hutchinson.
