“The Lottery” short story and The Lottery video contains many similarities and many differences. In the story and movie Jackson wrote her story to where we would not realize what was going to happen at the end of the story. When Mr. Summers brought out his black box it was not in as bad of shape as how it was described in the story. When the men were talking to one another and telling jokes they never really stood there and laughed.
