Not all people know the acclaimed hero. Schindler was an unlikely war time hero being a business man, womanizer, and belonging to the Nazi party (Biogrphy.comEditors). This would save them in the end. It had all stated when he bought out two previously Jewish companies. He had set up a shop in Krakow and employed mainly Jewish workers. Those working for his shop had been saved from being deported to labor camps. Schindler found out that the Jews in the town were being deported to a labor camp known as Plazow. He used the connections he had to get Jews to work in his factory. They Nazi agreed and sent 900 Jew to his factories to work. He later saved 300 woman from the most notorious death camp Auschwitz which was a camp nobody ever got out of (Aberly).“Nobody ever got out of Aushwitz, but Schindler got out 300…”-(Abraham Zukerman). Having them work for him didn’t go off without a hitch there were many times that he had to defend his Jews. There were many times that he had to bribe the Nazi authorities to keep them from his Jews. He spent every bit of his money to save his Jews. “He miraculously managed to do it and pull it off using the very same talents that made him a war profiteer – his flair for presentation bribery, and grand gestures.”
