But in the midst of the chaos, a pink ribbon falls from the sky onto a tree branch. It explains that this is the end of the fight for Goodman Brown.” Now a broken, faithless man ‘ Goodman cries out.
While in the woods a big role of satan plays a part in the story he is a big master manipulator and one who can easily shatter other people’s views of the world. Brown has discovered the true identity of his companion and is attempting to break away from his grounds and family. “ I helped your grandfather , the constable when he lashed the quaker women so smartly through the streets of salem’ the devil made an allusion saying Goodmans Brown’s ancestors were a prime example of guilty sinners. Due to that controlling Goodman Brown let satan take over l his path on life which made him realize the true meaning of faith he came back to Salem to try and gain his faith but all was turned against him and he was at lost.
This story of Young Goodman Brown is one that works on two different levels. It appears as nothing but a man on a journey who experiances literally hellish events. Shows that faith can easily break someone by all
