If Anne Frank never kept a diary, we would lose a little of history. She gives such a different outlook than so many other Jews in that time. While they are worried and fretting about all that is happening. Anne just tells her thoughts as they are. She is a very real person and we would be at a loss if we lost her work of art that she called a diary.
If Peter Van Daan wrote a diary instead of Anne Frank, The story would be quite different. Peter is obviously a boy while Anne is a growing woman. He would have different thoughts than Anne had. Peter thought about his cat more than anything. Mouschi distracted him from his studies, he gave the feline some of his food. As it says in the book on page 382, “I’m going to go give Mouschi his dinner.”
