The Lorax Analysis

This movie was about a community in Thneedville who lived off of fake trees and air. A girl named Audrey didn’t like the community’s synthetic nature and she wanted to see a real tree. Ted, a boy who had a crush on Audrey did anything to get his lover a seed for a tree. In order for Ted to get a seed he had to leave town and take 15¢, a great great grandfather snail, and a nail to the Once-ler. Ted went and took what was necessary and got some gossip of where all of the real trees went. The Once-ler flashed back to when he was young and started his business. He cut down one tree and a little fuzzy character name the Lorax came down from the sky ashamed. The Lorax spoke for the trees. Aloysius came by his house and demanded to search his room. Luckily, Granny Norma (Ted’s Grandmother) got to the seed before Aloysius did and she was amazed to see a real tree again. At the perfect time, Audrey rang the doorbell and Ted showed her the seed. He wanted to plant it right in the middle of the town for everyone to see. Ted, his family, and Audrey ran into some trouble along the way. Aloysius and his security guards tried to get the seed away from them. As the seed flew and trembled along the streets, Ted was still able to get it back. They needed to dig a hole in the ground but there was no dirt. Granny Norma took matters into her own hands and got in a bulldozer and accidentally knocked over the head of Aloysius’s statue, cracking the fake grass, leading to the real dirt. The town was confused to why they needed a real tree so Ted got into the bulldozer and knocked down the wall that divided the happy synthetic Thneedville to the dark and logged Thneedville. Finally, as everyone began to open up to the idea of planting a tree, it was time. Later on, more and more trees began to grow where all of the stubs were. The animals, wildlife, and Lorax came back and forgave the
