At the perfect time, Audrey rang the doorbell and Ted showed her the seed. He wanted to plant it right in the middle of the town for everyone to see. Ted, his family, and Audrey ran into some trouble along the way. Aloysius and his security guards tried to get the seed away from them. As the seed flew and trembled along the streets, Ted was still able to get it back. They needed to dig a hole in the ground but there was no dirt. Granny Norma took matters into her own hands and got in a bulldozer and accidentally knocked over the head of Aloysius’s statue, cracking the fake grass, leading to the real dirt. The town was confused to why they needed a real tree so Ted got into the bulldozer and knocked down the wall that divided the happy synthetic Thneedville to the dark and logged Thneedville.
