Beddor quotes this to illustrate that she is acting arrogant or better than everyone else. Alyss thinks she is already ready to be queen, but quickly figures out she is not. He also states “ At the sight of Bibwit, Alyss shouted, “RUN!” But the scholarly albino was pretty fast and would have caught up to them in no time if his robe hadn’t sprouted fluorescent feathers of a tuttle bird, ballooned around him, and lifted him into the air….. This was not how Alyss should have been using her imagination and she knew it” (Beddor 33). Alyss is still acting immature and obviously not ready to be Queen of Wonderland. She still has not figured out how to use her imagination for mostly good. Bibwit seems to think this is a problem because the older she gets, the more she is starting to resemble her Aunt Redd when she was Alyss’
