The story of Luke and Sophia is quite different. Sophia goes to college and lives in a sorority house with a ton of girls. Luke on the other hand, rides bulls for a living and lives on his family's ranch with his mom. Sophia is hoping to get this unpaid internship she was offered and to move to a big city to study, sell and buy art. Luke has been bull riding ever since he was little just like his dad. He doesn't enjoy it as much as he used to, now he does it to keep the farm going so they won't get it taken away. Luke and Sophia may be so different but they soon build a very strong bond of love that can't be broken. They met eachother at a rodeo after party that Sophia's roommate Marcia forced her to go to. At the party Sophia's ex boyfriend Brian had been threatening her when Luke stepped in and tackled him, making Brian go away. He went from having the love of his life with him to then having her taken away. Ira and Ruth loved each other so much and had so many great memories together. They've been always happy together except things changed when Ira got back from the war. Ruth had always wanted kids but in the war Ira got shot and was no longer able to have kids. At first they wouldn't even talk to each other because Ira was ashamed and Ruth didn't know why he was avoiding her. After she found out she made up her mind and decided love over kids. Their strong bond of love wasn't broken even though Ruth had given up her dream of wanting a big family. She made a tough decision but their love for each other has helped them become happy without having kids. Eventually after their long happy life Ruth dies. Ira can feel a piece of his heart leave along with Ruth and he is very heartbroken. Throughout the years she's been gone she still helps him get by. She's always overseeing him and letting him know he is not alone. When he gets into a car crash she is there letting him know he can do this and to not give up. With her help he survives until he goes to the hospital. With that strong bond of love throughout their lives they are both happy and able to get through tough
