The Longest Daycare Critical Analysis

In The Longest Daycare, a compassionate kid adventured in the school by rescuing a butterfly from being killed by another kid. It is sad as issues occurred although whole story have silent dialogue. Thus, the issues included in the story are violence, injustice and negligence. The main issue is violence. Throughout the story, an unkind child have murdered the butterflies. Likewise, I feel sympathy to the child as he was immature to differentiate good or bad of his action. For example, no adult existence in the story to guide a right pathway to the child about the important of animals. Consequently, the child used his own learning method as he thought butterflies should be frame since there was many other butterflies pictures was framed on the wall. Besides that, the action of the kid should be forgiven as his menace action probably is imitating adult’s action. In the society, more than half of the children (69%) are not acknowledge that poke out puppy’s eyes is an erroneous action (Ressler, 2013). Surprisingly, there is no adults or someone mature enough to looking out for the children. I feel frustrated for the adults have neglect the safety of children in the school. I could understand that the adults in other way are teaching the children to be independent. However, no safety facilities or guidelines in the school to ensure the children are safe even without the parents. Specifically, there is no prohibition from adults to stop the child from consuming the paste. Henceforth, the selfishness of adult of wanted the children to be skillful and independent could result harm to the children. In Australia, the substantiated harm type mostly were emotional abuse (39%) and child neglect (28%). (Child Family Community Australia, 2012). Therefore, adults should concern more to their children to prevent negligence
