Based on the what was learned about trust in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, trust is the most basic trait needed in everyday life. Without it, things cannot set into motion. Aslan is portrayed as a great ruler of Narnia, kind and merciful, just as lions were known to be in medieval folklore. He is trusted by the inhabitants of Narnia to lead them out of the Witch’s evil rule. The fact that C.S.
