In the book, Trumpkin told the pevensies about Caspian after they rescued him from the telmarine guards that captured him. According to the author, Trumpkin stated that “Caspian the Tenth, King of Narnia & long may he reign!, he ought to be king of Narnia & we hope he will be. At presence, he is the only King of us Old Narnians-” (Lewis 39). Trumpkin’s previous quote was used to explain the situation happening in Narnia as of the presence it would be said earlier in the movie adaptation. In the movie, Trumpkin doesn't get captured by the Telmarines soldiers and he would meet the pevensies much earlier in the book which led him to explain the situation as soon as they arrived. That was not the only change and in the chronological order of events.To continue, in the book, Miraz, Caspian's evil uncle who usurped the throne had been ruling for years after he killed Caspian's father. Yet, in the film adaptation of Prince Caspian, Miraz was not crowned till the Pevensie kids arrived in Narnia. The change was added to create a sense of suspense and it was easier to make the audience focus more on the events as they are happening for the first time rather than creating a flashback to chronologically adapt to the book, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. In the film adjustment, Queen prunaprismia, Caspian's Aunt and Miraz's better half, is an egotistical, control hungry individual who is unconscious of her significant other's plans to get the royal position and is a considerably more thoughtful character than her better half, Meanwhile in the book, she was as strict and pitiless as Miraz, however it is never said whether she knew about him killing his sibling and he intends to murder Caspian. In the Movie adjustment of the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, “Caspian forms an attraction to Susan, which results in Susan kissing Caspian goodbye before the pevensies leave.” This creates a sense of romance that was not introduced in the novel. In the book, Caspian and Susan were not of the same age set as Susan was much older than him and they had no attraction towards one another. The attraction between the two was added to the movie for the enjoyment of the audience especially the appeal to the teens and young adults who are interested in romance rather than a bland, dark and boring movie. The romance is what the director of the movie was going for, the director wants to create a way for the audience to feel as an example of mood. Not only was romance created but the director of the
