Destino showed a man breaking free from the statue of fear, and the man represents confidence. The dancer fights to break him free to connect with him, and after overcoming the walls in between them he becomes a baseball player, and takes his shot. In the final scene, the crazy faces that represent the chaos of civilization come together to create the dancer out of his shot. In the end, the man was able to bring the dancer to life so that confidence and ambition could embrace to finish the dream. In The Lion King, Simba is living a happy, go-lucky life in the jungle with Timon and Pumba until Rafiki, a mentor of Simba’s, reminds Simba that his father still lives on within Simba. Afterward, Mufasa’s spirit appears and tells Simba, “You must take your place in the circle of life, remember who you are.” The support of knowing that his father is with him inspires Simba to overcome his fear of disappointing the animals of the Pride Lands and challenge Scar for the throne. Walt Disney has always wanted to encourage the next generation to fulfill their dreams, and the only way to do so is to overcome the obstacle that will arise. His dedication to this idea is reflected in both Destino and The Lion
