This experiment will test the likeliness of receiving a response when greeting someone while exercising targeting body language verses greeting someone without using targeting body language. Targeting body language are gestures such as waving, smiling, or pointing to alert someone that you are talking to them. The experiment is to be tested over the course of two days using the same method and welcoming for both days.
Statement of The Problem
Theory

For example, a few good places to perform this experiment could be at school, the mall, or a gym. When conducting this experiment, it is advised to split testing between two days possibly three depending on the number of people coming and leaving your testing environment. Step one of this experiment is choosing a method, you can choose between two methods. For the first option, you can establish a spot to sit and greet people from that same spot until you have greeted at least five different people from the chosen spot. For option two you can choose to walk in/ or out of a door and greet at least five different people either coming into or leaving the building. However, once a method is chosen you must stick with the same method for the remainder of the experiment. Step two is to select a greeting a few possible choices are hello, hey or good afternoon. Once a greeting is chosen you will also use this same greeting for the rest of the experiment. On day one after choosing a method and selecting a greeting, you will use the selected greeting to greet at least five people without waving or smiling. On day two of the experiment, you will use the same method and greeting as used on day one, however, this time when you will wave and smile while greeting at least five different people. When testing is over you will have greeted a minimum of ten different people. Results can be recorded on a tee chart labeled day one and day two. For day one use a blue writing utensil to tally up the total number of individuals greeted that day and use a black pen to tally how many people greeted you back. For day two use a green writing utensil to tally the total number of individuals greeted that day and use a pencil to tally the total number of individuals who greeted you
