Lisa turned at the sound. She roused herself from the numbness that weighed her down and stumbled to the cot.

The Misery of Sin

One, two, three, and out goes he! In tailored suit and leather shoes, Mr Loral Johnson, MP, strode to the Iron Door and pressed the button. Inside a siren wailed. Within moments, the clank of a drawn bolt doubled his pulse. An arthritic hand, though with a grip of steel, clasped his starched white collar and yanked him into the stronghold. For the creative response to House of Sand and Fog (2003), I have created a dance video that portrays and explores the theme of appearance and reality. One of the prominent characters in House of Sand and Fog is Behrani. Behrani, an Iranian immigrant is shown to be living a façade, which leads to the theme of appearance and reality. I was inspired to create this video with two different worlds that represents an appearance, and a reality. This concept was inspired by Behrani who seems to have put on this appearance in order to enhance his daughters chances of making a good marriage.…

It is dark. It always is. My mind, like the hell-lit cave, is ignorant to life outside of darkness. I see mere shapes and speak but madness; the language I had once known as meaningless as a singular grain of sand on a sprawling shore. Life is but a farce, a fable constructed by the imagination of others.…

The two most obvious people that God works through are the main characters, Will and Katherine Kiehn. I have been reading the book Lord The Flies, by the author named William Golding. The book was given out in 1954, which leads us into the literary period of Postmodernism. The most common trait for this period is the very increasing diversity between the different novels written. In the earlier periods, the authors wanted to be fairly grounded, concrete and structured; but now they wanted more of the abstract and unrealistic plots, and often with paradoxes of various kinds.
