The Light In The Forest is a book about a white boy named Ture son, that got adopted by Indians named Cylouga and Quaquenga when he was 4, and now he is a teen and True son has to go back to the whites to keep a peace treaty, leaving his cousin Half arrow, and his friend Little crane behind. When he is on his way he makes friends with a soldier named Del Hardy, and finds out he speaks Delaware just like True son does. When they get to the whites, he meets his family his mom Myra Butler his dad Harry Butler, his brother Gordie butler, and his Uncle Wilse. After a while Half Arrow came to find true son with Little Crane. They go and talk to Uncle Wilse and Uncle Wilse kills LIttle Crane so When Half Arrow found True son they killed Uncle Wilse
