John Pielmeier was a guest speaker that came to PSUA on Tuesday, September 12th. John is an Altoona native; he graduated from Catholic University with a degree in theater. John’s dream was always to become an actor, but his life took a different path. Meanwhile, after he graduated he went on to grad school at PSU and earned his MFA. Before earning his MFA he left early to produce, direct, and act in his play. He eventually moved to New York and began his writing career. From here on, John was a screenwriter for many movies and television series; around five to six years ago he wrote his last mini-series and took a year off to write his novel Hook’s Tale.
