Jesse Owens was one of the most influential people during the last 100 years. He was vert successful as an athlete and has been a positive influence on young people, who have followed in his footsteps. He has been an excellent role model for me and has helped me realize that I can also reach my dreams of being a professional athlete. Jesse Owens was born September 12, 1913 in Oakville, Alabama. He was the youngest of ten kids. He had 3 sisters and 7 brothers. When he was 9 his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio . Jesse Owens was a tract and field athlete.
