Brock Turner “has an easy going personality” (par 2) and “this had been true from the time Brock was in pre-school” (par 2), Dan A. Turner tries to state that this is his son’s real character. The process of Brock getting accepted to Stanford University shows how much the Turner family love, care, and support each other. Before Brock got into University, he tried his best to get into a school with “4% acceptance rate” (par 5) by competing in the USA Juniors Nationals and for his parents to support him with financially he “continued to work hard until the very last minute of high school” and get an athletic scholarship that covers “60% swimming scholarship by the university.” (par 5) the father speaks about his sons accomplished which showed that Brock is a good guy, well-rounded, and smart. During Brock’s first Christmas break, he told his parents that “he was struggling to fit in socially” (par 6), this represents that he is an underdog, he was honest and not embarrassed to tell everything to his parents that he was having trouble in the university because he did not have anyone to talk when he was in the university.
