This might mean to leave things in the past and not dwell on them or to let a person go on their own path. That the title is Learn to Let Go suggests that doing so is hard, as it’s something that has to be learned, which will be the main point of the song.
The song begins with the line “Been a prisoner of the past”, which shows that the speaker, who is implied to be Kesha herself, has gone through hardship in the past. The use of the word “prisoner” is especially powerful; it gives a sense of memories and or people from the past trapping her and keeping her from moving on and living in the present.
