Ms. Rogic had a worksheet on the board and helped the class to fill it in. She then had them copy the work on the board onto their own paper with the same template. As students worked, Ms. Rogic walked around the room and checked their work.
Planning and Preparation:
Ms. Rogic utilized highly effecting planning in her lesson. She had prepared Powerpoint presentations prior to the class, and had worksheets and Scholastic Newspapers ready for her students prior to their arrival. Her SmartBoard and ELMO were ready for use before the class began, and her transitions from one activity to the next went quickly.
Environment:
Ms. Rogic has created a classroom environment where all students feel comfortable with answering questions and participating in the lesson, if they feel motivated to do so. Students who struggled seemed to be comfortable taking risks and not worrying about getting answers wrong.
