Pluto was a scripture interlaced with the somberness of the forgotten; he had been born crying in the womb of Gaea. He never interacted with any of the other gods, and only Jupiter loved him dearly. In that splendid temple lay the vault of the mightiest object known to man, the sun, and Jupiter guarded it with cautious patience. Pluto crawled to a wall that lay hidden beneath a towering obelisk, and he watched his brother leave to grab ambrosia from the great hall. Silently walking towards the glowing sphere, Pluto reached his shivering hand to the padlock of the door. His mind raced with the guilt that lingered inside of his ravaged heart, but twisted the key and swung open the magnificent entrance. Pluto then gazed at the sun with awe, and all of his body rampaged with the sin he had committed. The Underworld was a place for dying mortals who were brought to the end of their puny lives. It was not meant for someone who held a title as great as “god”, and it was a deprecating thought in its grandest form. Jupiter unlocked the door to the Underworld with all of his strength and agony, while Pluto fought the rage of being substantially inferior to the wrath of his brother. “Forgive me Jupiter. Let me go! I do not want this, please, give me another chance!” Jupiter looked into the eyes of the boy he had protected for ages of penance, and his mind grew cold with anger. He flung his brother’s crippled body into the darkness below, while the ground swallowed his ankles with
