During his college career many people thought that his basketball skills increased a lot at Carolina where he had a mediocre career. His team during the 1981-1982 season went 32-2 and won the National Championship during his first season with Carolina. In the College Championship they were losing by one point. Michael Jordan made the game winning shot with a fifteen foot jumper. Michael Jordan was awarded the ACC Rookie of the Year as a freshman which is something that every college ACC freshman player wants. In his freshman season he averaged 13.5 points and four rebounds per game. When he was in his junior year at UNC he was awarded with the ACC college player of the year.
