Initially when playing this action-adventure game the player is introduced to the young hero Link, who experiences a nightmare involving a man clad in black armor. As Link consults the dying Great Deku tree of his dream, he is forewarned and ultimately tasked with defeating the evil thief Ganondorf. As Link begins his journey throughout Hyrule he seeks out the wisdom of Princess Zelda, who sends him on a quest to collect the spiritual stones in order to secure the Triforce. Ultimately failing to keep the Triforce out of Ganondorf’s hands, Link must now travel back and forth between time to enlist the help of the seven sages. Thus granting him enough power to defeat Ganondorf and save princess Zelda.
