Approximately 300,000 fans attended and there were many acts scheduled such as Jefferson Airplane, Santana, and CSNY, with the Rolling Stones as the final act. President Obama was heard calling West a “jackass” (Time Magazine 2015). On September 13, 2009, during the 2009 MVT Video Music Awards, Kanye West jumped on stage and interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for her win for Best Female Video. West felt that Beyoncé should have won for “Single Ladies”. It is such a shame that a young woman, still a teenager, had her first major award like this ruined. Because Elvis had used body gyrations during performances on other shows like the Milton Berle Show, Sullivan had decided he did not want him on his show. These performances were considered provocative and very unsuitable for audiences. Sullivan had to have a change of heart after Elvis performed on the Steve Allen Show, which was televised during the same time as the Sullivan’s show, and had double the viewers. Although this performance was shown in New York from the stage in California, it was still a huge …show more content…

He was writing his autobiography, “Who I Am”, and as he was abused as a child, he wanted to show how the child porn industry was taking money. He says he never did enter the site. He said that what he did was “wrong and stupid,” My culpability is clear…but my innocence is absolute.” (Swanson 2013). There is a lot of evidence proving that he never did actually enter the site, but he was placed on the offender list because he refused to go to

Presley’s method of performing in front of large crowds was considered overly sexual, and when filmed on television, the producers were only allowed to film him from the waist up so that his infamous hip movements would not offend anyone. Though he seemed apprehensive at times, he had a big personality that would light up anyone’s day. Many people did not enjoy Presley’s flamboyant personality, long greased-back wild hair, or his wild clothing combinations, but told people “I’m just a poor boy from Tennessee, I’ve gotten a lot from my country. And I’d like to do something to repay what I’ve gotten”(David…
