Abraham Lincoln thought that since most slaves were Negroes and most of the owners of the slaves were white, he had to side with the owners, showing that he agreed with the white people. When Lincoln made the Emancipation Proclamation (EP), he did not save all of the slaves. Most people think that the closure of slavery ended with Abraham Lincoln. He’s identified as the man who ended slavery, when in reality he only saved a few. "The Emancipation Proclamation didn 't actually free all of the slaves. Since Lincoln issued the EP as a military measure, it didn 't apply to border slave states like Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri, all of which had remained loyal to the Union (History.com).” This proves that Abraham Lincoln only saved a few slaves, and that he only passed the Emancipation Proclamation as a military measure, not because it was right. However, you may argue that Abraham Lincoln made the Emancipation Proclamation. This may be true, but the Emancipation Proclamation was only for military ambitions and not to help free the slaves. Lincoln only helped discharge a few slaves, but he didn’t save most of them.

This is because Abraham Lincoln says that he felt like he was assigned to white people. Also, he didn’t want the two races to be united with one another. Plus, he didn’t free every slave; his thoughts on slavery showed that he didn’t want to do much for the US, besides show his opinions. Evidence shows that Abraham Lincoln benefited from slavery and wanted it to be continued.
