Starting the Connections Principles:
1. Interest. A person should be self-motivated and compel to learn, due to the fact that our brain prioritizes the concepts and contents, for which a person in intrinsically motivated. Having interest for a topic, lesson, chapter or book can genuinely make a difference for our brain. This happen, because our brain prioritizes by interest, meaning, value, and relevance. It is also important to understand, you will learn something that is meaningful for you. When you are into something it is easy to remember it.
2. Intent to remember:
A learner should start a reading, lecture, assignment, or any other academic task with the intention to learn something. Coming to class with the interest and decision to learn new concepts makes a great difference versus coming to class, without goals or …show more content…
The more we use auditory to the visual reading process, the stronger the neural connection will be between neurons. Moreover, the new learned concepts will be more accurate and clear. To recite we can utilize, flashcards which you prepare previously or study in a group, to recite to each other definitions, clue words, or formulas, among other concepts.
7. Visualization One should make a mental picture of the things that we are learning. It is crucial, because it allows using different parts of the brain, than when we are just reading or listening. Therefore, this action supports utilizing more senses, which allows more learning. The more senses we utilize the more connection and learning we can achieve. In other words, the more senses are involved in the learning process; the more neurons are fired in the brain activating effective learning. We should support visualization, due to the fact that it is the brain’s quickest and probably longest response to images. 8.
