Can you imagine going on an “invisible mission”? In the novel Marino Mission we meet Alexa who is on a mission to save and explore dolphins. Alexa’s mission is clandestine it can be identified as a clandestine mission in these ways. Alexa and Jose wanted to save a baby dolphin who they thought was Pecas baby. Alexa goes on the mission with her friend Jose and a huge mishap happens and for a moment Alexa thought everything she accomplished fell apart, and they wind up on a military base that they need information from.

To begin, Alexa, and Jose begin their journey by going to the beach to play with Pecas the dolphin. Every morning while they're there Pecas tries to guide them to Puerto Marino . One day she came to Alexa and Jose and she seemed like she was down. She again tries to guide them. Suddenly Alexa came up with an idea . “ chapman pg. 72 First we have to find out if Pecas baby

Alexa was trying to show Jose all of the cells that was in the test tube. As she held the tube to the light it slipped right through her hand. She was so disheartened, all of the DNA they worked hard for was all over the floor. “It took us a week just to get the cells from Pecas, then it took us a week to grow them. Now we'll have to wait again.” The Two had been so close to reaching their goal.

The opposition may say that Alexa’s mission is not clandestine. In the novel The Marino Mission there is a chapter named “The Clandestine Mission”. When the chapter begins the author states that Alexa & José we're “collaborators” on a clandestine mission. Now the people that disagree may have a point only because she asked Charlotte “Where does the navy get the dolphins it uses? And do you know what they use them for?” That gave it away. This probably had Charlotte wondering why she asked that. Nobody else really knows about the mission so far. So therefore the mission is
