According to the Islamic teachings and Muslim scholars point of view the Last sermon of the Holy Prophet is a complete code of human rights forever.
In the farewell address, the language that the Prophet used set unlimited boundaries to the text. Prophet’s message was not only address to a specific group of people (Muslims) of a specific time but for all mankind and for all generations. Therefore Prophet Muhammad used the phrase “O People” but not “O Muslims” or “O Believers”. In order to forward his message, he asked the people who were present at the sermon to deliver his words to others.
Islam as a religion is wrongly interpreted in the western world as Muslims are mostly seen to be related with terrorism. If understood correctly, the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad would adjust the misconception and present the religion with its qualities and standards to non-Muslims.
