They give me bad dreams, and then they make them come true.” (The Last One By Alexandra Oliva - Chapter 13, Page 162) Reading The Last One has made me think: What would happen if I woke up one day to a world that was so different from what I was used to? Or if everyone I knew suddenly disappeared? What would happen if I was put into a dystopian world like the characters were? If I was put into the same situations that the characters were put into, I honestly couldn’t imagine myself surviving on my own or to be able adapt to a new life so quickly as the characters from the book did, not to mention having to adapt to an unfamiliar world within all the madness.
All in all, The Last One By Alexandra Oliva is a remarkable book full of adventure and mystery. It’s a wonderfully terrifying story fill to the brim with complicated characters, all with a story of their own. I really enjoyed the change of genre from what I usually read, and The Last One made me envision situations that I’ve never thought of before. I wouldn’t hesitate to read this book again and again, and that’s why The Last One By Alexandra Oliva is the best book I’ve read this
