Elie Wiesel’s well-known book Night is based on his own terrifying experience with his father at the Nazi Germany concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald from 1944 to 1945 in the midst of the Holocaust and the Second World War. In as little as 100 short pages of scarce and fragmented narrative, he writes about the demise of God and loss of humanity, which is reflected in the inversion of the father son relationship as Wiesel’s father’s gradually declines into a state of despair and Elie becomes his indignant caregiver. The memoir tells more than just a story: it tells of the loss of spirit, faith the horror of death and continuing to live with the horrible memoires that continue to haunt…

Only of those Jewish prisoners did twelve survive. Elie and his father were part of those twelve people. It felt good considering that most of the other Jews were letting their malicious and animalistic side take over.…

At the Wannsee conference, the SS, subdivisions, handled what was known as the Final Solution that targeted the Jews. The conference was brought up to light in the film Conspiracy, where the Final Solution was agreed upon Hitler’s fifteen men who debated the pros and cons of what was to be done to the Jews. In addition, the Final Solution determined what was going to happen to the Jews, but acts of violence targeted the Jews before the solution was determined. Elie Wiesel was born in 1928 in Sighet, Romania, a well-known city within the Jewish culture. As a young boy, Wiesel was inspired by his grandfather who would tell stories of Hasidic tales, giving Wiesel a big imagination at such a young age. Wiesel was also encouraged by his father to study the Hebrew and Yiddish languages. Wiesel went on to author over 40 books, including arguably his most well-known book being, “Night”. In his book, “Night” Wiesel tells the story of his survival through the horrific events of the Holocaust, awarding him the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize.…

About 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust. The book Night written by Elie Wiesel is his account of what occurred to him and the others around him during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the worst genocide in the world because the Nazis killed people of any age, the concentration camps had the worst possible conditions, and the Nazis treated the prisoners like animals. One reason the Holocaust was the worst genocide in the world is the Nazis killed people of any age. One piece of evidence that shows this is “They were burning something.…

A moment in the Merlin series that really touched me occurred during season four, episode one, The Darkest Hour, when Percival steps in and saves those three terrified little children from the Dorocha. I found that scene to be a defining moment for Percival, one where his selflessness and gentle heart became apparent. As the show went on, I often wondered, "What happened to those children?" This story features one of the children, Rion (I gave him that name, and have decided to make him a little older for the purpose of this tale).…
