My pet’s life matters! According to Bilger we already as it is spend too much on our pets and we don’t need to go an extra mille trying to keep an animal who we don’t know will make it through the surgery alive. Throughout this whole article Bilger had me asking the question “is my pet worth it?” I came to conclusion that she is; she’s worth it all. She’s worth the money, the head aches, and the pain because she has always been there for me and I know even if the whole world was against me she would still be my side. Even though I no longer have her in my life you can believe I would go to war for her. Baby was always my back bone; always there to lift my spirts up. Baby might not have been the smartest pup but she was still my baby; my sweet Baby. Even with all of Bilger’s statements in his article “The Last Meow” I still stand by my original thought, m y dog is still worth it. In saying that we as pet owners need to know where to draw the line; we need to know when to far be too far. Our pets are what hold the family together. In the Levering’s predicament only Mr. Levering was out working at the time. Meaning that not a lot of money was being put forward; more than half of the money they make a year would go to her surgery. With that money Mr. Levering said it could be a down payment on a house. So there are down falls to having this surgery for their beloved cat Lady. Like them digging themselves deeper into debt not even including the pain medicine they would have to buy for to remain healthy. This all could be consider as too much of a hassle for a cat. Now the decision is yours! You decide if you would save your pet’s life or just let them fade away. Hopefully after reading this you will think twice before just letting you pet slip into the land of
