Randy states “We cannot change the the cards we are, dealt just how we play the hand.” Randy really emphasizes this throughout the book. The Last Lecture goes through many stories of how Randy rethought his priorities in life after getting diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This made me also rethink my priorities when I was reading The Last Lecture. Randy always has a different approach on life. He never has a no quit perspective on life and never takes “NO” for an answer. This attitude propelled him far in life with his family, read and me.
