In this regard, Anderson (1999) stated that reading is a significance skill for students in order to have a good command of a second/foreign language. For FLLs, it is very important to develop such a skill because according to researchers when reading, the reader should make use of his prior knowledge and linguistic knowledge in order to extract the writer 's intended meaning. In this regard, Cook (1989) claimed that in order to make sense of any text we need to have pre-existant knowledge of the world.
