It was December 16th, and the day was bright and warm. This was the last day of the month that Emily and her friends could share in the warm sun. They figured that they should go down to the lake and have themselves good time, before time runs out. Emily, Jack, Mason, and Lucille walked barefoot through the woods in hopes of getting to the lake earlier than everyone else that morning. All was quiet in the shady woods, at least until Mason shrieked out in agony. “Aaaghhh!” cried Mason. “I stepped on a sharp rock or something!” As he lifted his foot, he was shocked to discover what he had really stepped on. She ran, and ran, and ran until she tripped on a log and fell face first into the dirt. She turned and looked all around her but saw nothing. She heard footsteps and knew it was the end, until she heard a familiar voice. Jack was calling to her through the bushes. She got up and stumbled towards him, noticing that she had blood trickling down her right leg. She hugged Jack and they both began crying. He stepped to the side right before the blade hit the wall. Jack ran straight forward his face was red with rage, he hit something. They both hit the ground and Jack fought hard, hitting the killer in every spot imaginable. When the killer stopped struggling, Jack got up, thinking it was over. He was surely mistaken. One blow to the face and Jack was knocked senseless. The killer grabbed him by the neck, and threw him at the wall. Jack could not focus on anything, he could not hear, we was unaware of what was going on. The killer picked Jack up, and launched him down the hill.
