Not because of my skin color but being pregnant at 20. For some that is not to young but others saw it as a problem. There are steps that society would like for our generation to go by. As far as finishing school, getting suitable job, finding husband, and then having children. The generation we live in does this backwards and at time don’t even follow all the steps. The side eye is given to some women who walks around with a baby and no ring on her finger, or she is raising a child alone. She is being critiqued if her ways aren’t in alignment with what women did at her age. A child raising a child they say. Sometimes if a person is mature there looked at different but either way they are still given some type of back lash by someone. Some scrutiny is okay but completely turning your nose of too people for there way of living is not a good way to live. I walked around and dealt with the way people thought I should have lived my life. There are some people whose outcome for life can be positive but there upbringing plays a major role.
