We see it everyday in sports, players that leave school early getting signed and being professionals for a certain amount of time and not having money or a degree after to fall back on. I think it is a dumb mistake to not finish school before entering a draft. Yes staying at school and playing for your school has its positives and negatives, but so does being a professional athlete. Athlete graduation rate this year was higher than non-athlete graduation rate. The percentage of athletes that graduated on time was about 60% as for non-athletes only having a graduation rate of 58%. (Gaston-Gates 76). Athletes as you can see do have the potential to graduate more than just students
