The La Loche Community School Murder Case

On January 22, 2016, in northern La Loche Saskatchewan, a terrifying and traumatizing shooting took place at The La Loche Community School. Four victims were murdered,including two teachers and two brothers, and another seven injured. The victims have been identified as Marie Janvier (Teacher), Adam Wood (Teacher), and brothers, Dayne and Drayden Fontaine. The murderer was identified as a 17 year old male student, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The male suspect has been charged with four counts of first degree murder, seven counts of attempted murder, and one count of unauthorized possession of firearms.
