William first met Jocelyn on the street and he was immediately infatuated with her. They get to know each other but then have a big fight. So to make it up he writes her a love letter to tell her how much she means to her. Even though he has help writing the letter it still conveys what he really fills for her even though he couldn’t put it into words. Also when he loses for her even though it hurt his pride and reputation. She told him that if he loved her that he would lose for her, and even though he didn’t want to lose he loved her enough to do as she asked. Then after she was sure that he loved her, she wanted him to win for her. The other thing they did for each other was when he was going to get arrested and they had a chance to run she told him she would run away with him. It’s love that was mostly done by knights, were they would go on adventures and do services for their lady. So if they fell for a lady they would go on these extravagant adventures just to tell there ladies how much they loved them. Though I think it was too much, why couldn’t they just go on dates and get to know them better. Before they went off adventures that could or could not get them killed. It said that chivalric love emphasized the nobility and chivalry. I think it should mean that knights would be carrying and honorable. That they would open doors and fight for their lady’s honor if it was
