Throughout the first semester of we were introduces the several novels --- Lord of the flies, Othello, Death of a Salesman, and Kites Runner. The individual 's themes of each novel taught me and other readers lessons crucial to living life. In addition, the novels enlightened my understanding of many situations and the way the world works. Themes teach a universal lesson to a reader, for me each of these novels taught me lessons i can now live my life by.
In Lord of the flies, Golding’s major theme illustrated throughout the novel is that within each and everyone of us there is the potential of evil. The failure to continue with their government under Ralph, caused them degenerate as they were now under no government and free to do as they please because of Jack. Personally, this novel taught me that rules are always necessary despite how they make you feel restricted. Rules, Laws, and Values help us maintain order and keep us safe from becoming complete savages. I gained a new perspective towards the law and how crucial its existence is to Humanity.

Iago is the prime example of an illusion, throughout the play he disguised himself as a friend of Othello, Desdemona, Roderigo, and Cassio in order to gain Othello’s position. Redemption is something we must all go through in our lives as a christians, though we believe Jesus has redeemed us all ready. We must redeem ourselves personally for a own well being. As it is scene in The Kite Runner, Amir’s failure to redeem himself at a young caused him years of Guilt and a ill image of himself. Amir should have redeemed himself by confessing and helping Hassan after he had Witnessed the Rape. On the other hand, Soraya also redeems herself by confessing to Amir her previous life with a man before marriage. Life is full of a constant path of redemption i feel within yourself.
