Based on the movie, Hassan is the son of Papa Kadam and his also work as the main chef for his family restaurant, Maison Mumbai in Paris. Hassan became the main chef of his family restaurant after his mother has been killed in Mumbai, India. When they reach Paris, Hassan replace his mother become the main chef of his family restaurant. Maison Mumbai is a restaurant served with Indian food in Paris. Papa Kadam insists to open the restaurant opposite the French restaurant even his children against his decision. Papa Kadam believes that Indian food is their traditional food. So, he wants Hassan to continue the tradition of the Indian food in Paris. However, Hassan was interested in French cuisine when he receives the recipe cook book. He intends to learn to cook French cuisine and work for Madame Mallory’s French restaurant, Le Saule Pleureur's. …show more content…
At the beginning, Papa Kadam does not support Hassan to work at Madame Mallory’s French restaurant. This is because there is a cold war happen between Papa Kadam and Madame Mallory but at the end Papa Kadam let Hassan to work for Madame Mallory’s French restaurant as a chef. this situation, we found that Hassan might experienced role conflict. This is because Hassan faced some difficulties in decision making. As a son, Hassan have to obey to his father in which his father was not allow him to work for the Madame Mallory French
